The Toronto puppies will be marching with the Toronto Pride Leather and Fetish Contingent at the Pride Parade next Sunday, June 24!
Meet us at the north-west corner of Jarvis and Isabella at 3:30 pm.
From the Leather and Fetish Contingent event page:
All leatherfolk, fetishists, our friends, families and allies of all preferences, genders, races, cultures, religions and origins are invited to come together this Pride as the Toronto Pride Leather Contingent, marching in tribute to our leather heritage, and the fantastic outlook of our fetish future.
Q: Is this being organized by Heart of the Flag?
A: No. Although some of us are past or present HOTF members, the Toronto Leather Contingent is not representing any single group or category. Beyond sexual preference, beyond gender, beyond politics, beyond businesses, beyond groups, the Toronto Pride Leather Contingent is an umbrella organisation focusing on leather fetishists but open to all kinks and fetishes of all genders, sexualities and origins. Our aim is to represent and celebrate Toronto’s diverse leather and kink community and invite like-minded folk from around the world to join us.
Q: Where and when do we gather?
A: We are meeting at the north-west corner of Jarvis and Isabella at 3:30 pm sharp.
Q: Where in the parade are We?
A: The organizers don't share the line up in advance so we don't know. Based on our arrival time we will be near the end.
Q: What is out group's info?
A: Our Permit number is L12. Our group name: Toronto Leather Contingent. For staging we are behind: The Toronto Sisters of J.O.Y. and in front of Ornge (this is only our staging location, we will be spaced with other groups/floats etc as we move onto the parade route).
Q: Are we carrying anything?
A: We will have the traditional big-ass Leather BDSM flag which ee beed at least 6 volunteers to help carry. We will also have a couple of standaed sized flags to lead with. If you have your own or any other flag (pup, bootblack, pride etc) please feel free to bring them. Try to avoid bringing water guns as they make us a target and many do not want their fetish gear to get wet. A reminder that alcohol is strictly prohibited in ton stage area and on the route and pot is still technically illegal.
Q: I’m new to the scene, can I march with you?
A: Absolutely! Come meet your new family and join is in sexy solidarity.
Q: I’m not from Toronto but visiting for Pride. Can I still march with you?
A: The invitation is worldwide – we’d love to have you!
Q: I’m not into leather or fetish myself, but my friend is. Is it okay for me to join?
A: Allies, friends and family are always welcome. The more the merrier.
Q: What if I don’t own any leather or kink wear?
A: No problem. Although leather/kink/fetish wear is strongly encouraged, you can wear whatever you like.
